No – and it never will from a photograph. Counterfeits are caught by weight, metal composition and die comparison, with the coin in hand. Any app that promises authenticity from a photo is promising something a photo cannot deliver. NumiAssist deliberately stays out of that business.

No. Grading is a judgement made under a loupe by a person accountable for it, and price depends on the buyer, the venue and the day. We give you the best possible photos and a clean description so your judgement gets a fair hearing – we don't substitute for it.

The legible attributes: country, denomination, year, metal, and similar fields – each marked with a confidence level. A field the model can't read with reasonable certainty comes back empty rather than guessed. Nothing enters your description until you confirm it.

Because a blank is more useful than a plausible mistake. You'll notice and fill an empty year; a confidently wrong one would sail into your listing. Empty means "not legible on these photos" – retake with better light or fill it in yourself.

They are sent to our server only when you explicitly ask for suggestions, processed in memory for the duration of that one request, and never written to disk, logged or retained. The full policy is on the privacy page.

Yes. Capture, processing, lot assembly and export all run on the phone and work with no connection at all. Recognition suggestions are the single step that needs the network – skip it and nothing else changes.

No. There is nothing to register, no profile and no password. The subscription is handled by your Apple ID through the App Store.

iPhone with iOS 18 or later. On models with a macro-capable camera, macro engages automatically at close range (and can be turned off); on other models you simply shoot from a slightly larger distance and let the crop do its work.

Any. Copper, nickel, bronze, silver, gold; worn, toned, patinated. The processing pipeline assumes nothing about the metal – glare reduction works on any shiny surface, not just silver.

As a composite: you take several deliberate shots of different segments, and the app assembles them into one edge view. It's the one part of a coin a single frame can't show.

Yes – crop, rotation and background stay editable, and every edit is non-destructive. The original frame is always preserved, so you can step back at any point.
